Cabinet Installation

Thanks to Bellmont Cabinet Company and all of the volunteers who installed the cabinets in the Jacob's Well apartments. Click Here to see a short video. Approximately $300,000 in funding and in-kind donations is needed to finish the complex (debt-free!) and then we can welcome 12 homeless mothers and their children to Jacob's Well where they will begin a journey of restoration towards a bright future.

Thank you, Bellmont Cabinets!

Flooring is Installed!

Click HERE to see a quick video of the new flooring!
Thanks to 30 volunteers and a host of contractors who descended on the Jacob's Well site and installed the carpeting and plank flooring for 12 apartments. It looks so beautiful! We're imagining the moms and kids when they move into their new homes, and how they will enjoy the warmth of the carpet on their little toes, and the ease and beauty of the laminate.
Our goal is to move homeless families into Jacob's Well this summer. This will be dependent on funding and volunteer resources. To date, volunteer efforts, in-kind contributions, designated dollars for Jacob's Well and Vision House general fund dollars have kept this project debt-free. We need to raise approximately $300,000 in additional funds and in-kind support to finish the building. We're incredibly grateful for all of our donors and volunteers!

Thanks to the Master Builders Care Foundation and about 150 volunteers for "Painting a Better Tomorrow" at Jacob's Well in early November! A great day was had by all who helped paint the interior of the Jacob's Well complex for homeless mothers and children.

There is still more painting to be done, so if you can help out please contact Kristi Slattery at: kristis@vision-house.org or 425-228-6356.

Thanks to about 280 people who attended our Jacob's Well Building Hope dessert event,  $132,600 was raised! These funds will help complete our Jacob's Well complex in Shoreline for homeless mothers and children.

About $800,000 is left to raise to finish the building  (DEBT-FREE!), but we expect about half of that to be provided through donated materials and labor.

UPDATE: The exterior has been painted, drywall has been installed and we're ready to paint the interior. As part of the Master Builders Care Foundation's Painting a Better Tomorrow, volunteers will be painting the interior on Saturday, November 3rd. Sign up to help!

Women Helping Women: Shoreline Sleep-Out
Turning Tents into Homes
Friday, Sept. 21 @7pm to Saturday Sept. 22 @8am

Shoreline Covenant Church
1330 N. 185th St.
Shoreline, WA
206-542-1050

Women and friends of Shoreline Covenant Church are turning tents into homes for women and children by raising money to buy interior paint for Jacob's Well – our new transitional housing complex, being constructed in Shoreline for homeless women and children. Bring your tent and pledges from friends, neighbors, family and co-workers and spend one night in solidarity with our sisters who struggle every night to find a safe and dry and warm place to sleep with their kids. We will end on Saturday morning with breakfast served at 8am! Contact the church by September 17th to register.

This challenge was last done in 2010 when 43 women slept out in tents in the Shoreline Covenant Church parking lot and raised over $18,000 to purchase lumber for the framing of Jacob’s Well. We will again "sleep-out" in our tents in the church parking lot with the hope of raising, through pledges, the $25,000 needed to purchase the interior paint for Jacob’s Well. We already have one donor willing to match each dollar up to $3,000 and each woman who participates must raise a minimum of $100.

Shoreline Covenant will be joined by Mars Hill and The Vineyard in this effort. If women from any other church would like to also join, or you have questions, contact Pastor Erika Haub at 206-542-1050 or email her at Erika@shorelinecovenant.org.

Anyone can pledge $30 toward a gallon of paint or can make a flat donation in any amount. Make checks to Shoreline Covenant Church, note “Shoreline Sleep-Out” in the memo line. Or donate on the Vision House website: and make a note in the comments field with “Shoreline Sleep-Out”.
