April 2 Instructions

Jacob’s Well Build kicks off this weekend and it is going to be a beautiful day!
If you are scheduled for Saturday, April 2nd:
  1. Arrive early & get on a bus before it leaves at 8:15 AM at Northshore Baptist or 8:50 AM at Aldercrest Learning Center (see bus stop locations and instructions attached)
  2. If you know your assignment and have a tee-shirt, proceed to SAFETY table for hard hat, gloves and goggles, if you do not have your own. Look for signage and find your team.
  3. If you do not have an assignment OR don’t have your t-shirt OR you haven’t registered, go to the CHECK-IN tent. You will get your t-shirt and sign a liability waiver. They will give you an assignment. Proceed to SAFETY table for hard hat, gloves and goggles if you do not have your own. Look for signage and find your team.
  4. If you are not on the list at the check-in tent, proceed to the ORIENTATION tent. You will be assigned a team and directed to the SAFETY table for hard hat, gloves and goggles, if you do not have your own. Look for signage and find your team.
  5. Listen for the mega phone. You will be called back for a quick prayer and to help set up the first walls between 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM.
What to bring: hammer, nail pouch or tool belt (limited supply on site) Please clearly mark your tools. If you have favorite gloves goggles or hard hats, bring them.
Make sure to eat a hearty breakfast as lunch will not be provided until after 12:00pm. 

  • Don’t forget your t-shirt, you are required to wear it at all times.   
  • I-405 is CLOSED in Bellevue April 2 and 3rd. Take alternative routes.
If you are scheduled for Sunday April 3rd, watch your email or check this blog to see if you are needed.

Dinner Meeting March 24th

The meeting on Thursday, March 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM will be critical so we can hit the ground running on April 2! It will be held at Schirmer Auditorium on the CRISTA Campus. >>Directions

  • Everyone will be assigned their team leaders and shown exactly what piece of the project they will be working on.
  • We will assess skill levels and assign colored t-shirts accordingly.
  • Since there will be youth groups involved in the project we will go over safety protocol in a little more detail.
  • We will collect the signed waivers so we can minimize the amount of paper work on April 2.
  • We will cover transportation and parking.  
  • Be SURE to watch this blog for any last minute details.

Daily Update

HDC Dirtworks finished the sewer line today. B & B will start on Ballinger Way with the water and go up the hill on Monday. Looks like we are on schedule! We only had eight inspections today. :-)

1. Take exit 177 to merge onto NE 205th toward Lake Forest Park
2. Turn right at 19th Ave NE
3. Take the 1st left onto Forest Park Dr NE  
4. Take the 1st left onto 20th Ave NE. Destination will be on the right

Details on the March 24th Mandatory Construction Meeting

Hi Everyone: We are being asked if the March 24th meeting is mandatory to build and here is our response.

Yes, the meeting is mandatory for anyone doing construction … that being said, no one will be turned away if they show up on April 2! (That’s for sure!)

Daily Update

For those following our construction schedule, B & B started the waterline today and HDC starts the sewers Monday. Praying the hydrant is in and all the pieces fall into place for our mass April 2nd kick-off! Fence blocking our road came down yesterday.
